Behind Our Rebrand: Yond Interiors

It’s been an exciting week for us at the studio with the launch of our new website and rebrand! So before we go any further, allow us to officially introduce ourselves as Yond Interiors. You might remember we’ve been hinting at a rebrand since early 2021, and as always, good things take time behind the scenes. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Shore Creative to reimagine every facet of our website and branding, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share our new identity with the world.

Yond Interiors was born out of a desire for our brand to be more than just me and my ideas—I wanted to create space for all of our employees, trade partners, and craftsmen that make our spaces come to life. It was a year of hard work and thoughtful decision making, but to say I’m thrilled to begin this next chapter of the business is an understatement.

Today, I wanted to answer some questions you might have about our rebrand, and what it means for the future of the business. The bottom line: Yond Interiors is a new name with the same mission. Our services, design philosophy, and values will stay the same, but we hope our new website and branding will be a more intentional reflection of who we are.

What led to our rebranding?

Since nearly the beginning of starting this business, I knew that I didn't want to keep Julia Miller in our brand name. As we began to grow and develop our services, it became clear to me that so many others make this brand tick, and I wanted to have a name that was inclusive of everyone. Another factor that played into the decision is that we create and sell products in addition to interior design. Ultimately, I wanted to maintain flexibility for our brand to encompass all facets of our work.

Will our services stay the same?

Rest assured, everything is staying the same! The spirit of our new name and brand has been with us for a long time behind the scenes, and we’re just finally announcing it to the world. We will still offer the exact same services with our signature, tailor-made work.

How did the name Yond Interiors come about?

I wanted a name that was concise, easy to pronounce, and wasn’t already in existence. It was important to me that the next iteration of our brand left the doors wide open for whatever was next. So while Yond doesn’t technically mean anything yet, we have the opportunity to craft our own definition.

Favorite features of the new website?

Our new website is quite robust with lots of content and helpful features. All of our blog content transitioned with amazing search functions, and our portfolio page has now been built out to showcase the project images and give accolades to the entire team. We also built out the shop section to include quite a few more of our favorite finds.

Another element I love is the inclusion of our core values on the about page. As we worked towards this rebrand, it was important that the values of our work were reflected and clearly defined. We summarized our ethos within four core values to further define our process and services. We use these values every step of the way—from determining goodness of fit with projects to the final install.
