Elevating Everyday Objects
Our work gives us the privilege to guide clients through milestone projects of every shape and size. From single room renovations to whole home design, there’s so much excitement wrapped up in personalizing a space to meet our clients’ needs.
Within design, we have many conversations around color palettes, wall treatments, furniture pairings, but we also believe in the beauty of everyday objects—the hardworking housewares that see continuous use on a daily basis. Think cutting boards, hand towels, storage baskets, and the like. As a general rule, we advise our clients to invest in the objects they touch and use most, with small housewares often falling into that category. We’ve put together a guide on elevating everyday objects to help get you started.
KITCHEN
A beautiful oversized wood cutting board is an absolute necessity in the kitchen. It protects your natural stone countertops and brings a lot of warmth and texture to the scene. Plus, if you take care of your cutting board, it will likely last you forever.
Coffee makers don’t have to be an eyesore. In fact, this matte black carafe with a copper handle is something you’ll actually want to be left out on display. Aesthetics aside, the best feature is the four brew strength options to suit any coffee drinker’s taste.
Elevating your kitchen tools is about incorporating interesting, handmade objects whenever possible. Unlike its mass-produced counterparts, this ceramic spoon rest will feature slight variations, and that’s exactly why we love it.
Food storage is perhaps the least considered detail of a kitchen, but we think it’s incredibly important. Try replacing your plastic containers with BPA-free glass for a much safer, sturdier alternative.
Fact: every home cook should have high-quality salt within arm's reach. Set this olive wood cellar right beside the stove, and never search around for the salt shaker again.

TEXTILES
Clean lines and neutral colors make this towel a natural fit for any kitchen. We like to style it casually over the sink and always have a stack of extras tucked away in the linen closet.
When the weather cools down, layering sofas, armchairs, and beds with extra blankets is essential. This sustainably made, ridiculously soft option is one of our favorites we use time and time again.
Quilts have such a timeless appeal. We often use them when styling a bed, especially when they’re crafted from the most luxurious Italian linen yarns.
We all have a set of bath towels that have seen their better days. Try replacing them with a pure linen option in a rich, forest green hue.

UTILITY + CLEANING
Described as bringing an elevated feel to everyday chores, this catch-all cleaner works for nearly every surface in your home. And the recycled plastic bottle? Win-win.
If you happen to have young children at home, the laundry game can seem endless. On the bright side, investing in beautiful woven baskets to store said laundry makes the process much easier.
Replacing paper or plastic with reusable bags on your weekly grocery run is an easy, eco-conscious alternative. Bonus: they’re entirely washable to clean as needed.
We tend to be a bit fussy with which hand soaps we select for your client’s homes. The branding must be beautiful, the vessel must be quality, and the soap must feature a lovely, subtle scent. This one checks the boxes, and it’s become our usual go-to.
We shared our favorite wood cutting board above, but taking care of that board requires some upkeep. This solution cleans, sanitizes, and protects the board. Plus, it works great on other wooden kitchen utensils.
